One Piece’s chapter 1095 introduces Ginny, a new mystery figure who might be related to Jewelry Bonney.

One Piece’s chapter 1095, “Better Off Dead In This World,” revealed a number of things. Garling Figarland was depicted as a young man, the infamous God Valley Incident was set up (possibly), St. Jaygarcia Saturn’s immortality was hinted at, Bartholomew Kuma’s Buccaneer ancestry and existence as a Celestial Dragon slave were revealed, the legendary God Valley Incident was set up, and Kuma’s introduction to Emporio Ivankov was depicted. These, however, are all about stuff that fans already knew. In addition to this, Ivankov’s sister was a brand-new mystery figure. She goes by Ginny.

It could be too soon to draw any conclusions about Ginny, but she and Jewellery Bonney might be related. The mother of the Big Eater and the potential future wife of Kuma could both be this child. It would also establish that the Supernova is the former Warlord’s biological daughter, not an adopted one. Together with the revelation of Kuma’s “special race,” this could have significant ramifications for the current narrative. Obviously, this depends on Ginny’s intended identity and whether or not she lives past this flashback.

How could Ginny be Bonney’s Mother?

It’s possible that Ginny’s eating a meaty drumstick is related to Bonney. It might be a metaphor for the slave girl’s gluttony, which she and the Big Eater of the Worst Generation would have in common. It’s also important to note that both of these characters made their debuts in the manga while indulging in food. The naming patterns of these two females are likewise identical. Only the initial kana distinguishes Ginny’s (ジニー) and Bonney’s (ボニー) names in Japanese. The same thing occurs between Bonney and Conney, her alter ego. There may be a common theme among these characters.

Of course, when entire names are taken into consideration, this similarity becomes more difficult to defend. Jewellery Bonney is the full name of Bonney. Ginny claims to be Emporio Ivankov’s sister; although her full name hasn’t been established, they might have the same last name. However, if last names were important, Bonney might have chosen her father Bartholomew Kuma’s. Ivankov’s involvement, however, might account for the relationship between Kuma and Ginny. The interaction in Chapter 1095 is probably where the Okama King and the future Tyrant of the Sorbet Kingdom first met. Nevertheless, they later joined forces in the Revolutionary Army. He would naturally give his blessing to his longtime friend marrying his sister.

Additionally, the age range is ideal for these two. Ginny is a useful childhood companion, but Kuma might have gotten Bonney from another boy his age. Before Bonney’s alleged birth, there are 14 years between these two, giving them plenty of opportunity to get to know one another. Ginny and Bonney might be related based on their similar hair colours. Ginny’s colour scheme and any association with the Big Eater have not yet been established. However, it could be seen as further proof if she is discovered to have pink hair before she is identified as Bonney’s mother. Like young Shanks looking like Garling Figarland, it suggests a father-son relationship.

How Would This Change the Story?

Being Bonney’s parents, Kuma and Ginny have the power to influence anything. It would demonstrate that Kuma and Bonney are biological father and kid as opposed to being adopted. This would imply that Bonney shares her father’s blood with the Buccaneer tribe. Of fact, it hasn’t been determined how important this tribe is yet. Kuma was the only surviving member of this tribe, according to Saturn, and they were accountable for committing a serious offence. Some fans have pointed out how Zunesha was once imprisoned for a nebulous transgression.

In addition, Emporio Ivanov made a racial allusion to Kuma. Uncertain how this is significant, he explained that they contain the blood of giants. One Piece’s overarching tale has been the subject of much fan speculation regarding giants, but no one is entirely sure what they will be involved with; this new race that shares their characteristics only confuses the matter. The Buccaneers must possess certain qualities that distinguish them from other species, such as giants. It might even be something crucial to the overthrow of the United Nations. Bonney may have to assume Kuma’s responsibilities if something were to happen to him.

But the World Government’s strategy towards this race is absurd if it poses such a threat. It might have been wise for them to eliminate the rest of the Buccaneers as soon as they could after discovering Kuma’s family. Furthermore, despite the fact that Bonney was related to Kuma by blood, St. Saturn thought little of her. The World Government may have stopped viewing the Buccaneers’ power as a threat because it had been latent in the family for many generations; this would fit with how they saw the Gum-Gum Fruit and its possible awakening. If Bonney manages to access her ancestors’ abilities, the World Government might prioritise finding her.

What Else Could Ginny Be?

Of course, it’s always possible that Ginny and Bonney are unrelated by blood. The Big Eater’s ancestry would then remain a mystery. She might still be Luma’s biological child, but her mother might actually be somebody else. Even if Ginny and Bonney are unrelated, she might still have a big impact on the One Piece universe. She will probably continue to get along with Kuma and is still Ivankov’s sister. She should still have a part in the character arcs of Ivankov and Kuma even if she has nothing to do with the future Supernova. She might possibly have enlisted in the Revolutionary Army alongside them. It’s also possible that Ginny experienced a tragic event. This would account for why she never showed up in the ongoing narrative. Maybe the anguish kept Ivankov and Kuma from talking about her.

Bonney has one of three excuses not to bring up Ginny if she is absent: Ginny passed away too soon in Bonney’s life for them to get to know one another; this may be the case regardless of whether or not they were romantically involved; alternatively, Ginny was also murdered by the World Government, and Bonney must exact revenge on them both; this latter scenario is less likely given how frequently the Big Eater has mentioned Kuma without mentioning Ginny. It’s also feasible that Bonney doesn’t need to worry about Ginny because she is still alive; once more, this is true regardless of their relationship. Ginny might reappear before the end of the Egghead Arc if she is still alive. She may even be assumed to be dead like Sabo and appear long later. It could be great to see them (and Kuma) reunited as a happy family if she is Bonney’s mother.
