For many fans of the immensely famous Attack on Titan anime, the much awaited series conclusion was both a sombre and a thrilling time. A number of videos went viral due to the excitement around Attack on Titan’s ten-year run’s end. One such tape included parts from another video that was uploaded not long after the manga series’ planned 2021 finale, showing Chinese fans gathering for an actual burial honouring Attack on Titan’s sad protagonist, Eren.

The entire movie, which was posted to the video-sharing website Bilibili, was considerably longer than ten minutes and featured multiple moments of fans paying tribute to Eren and Attack on Titan’s legacy, even though the clip is only thirty seconds long. This featured moving remarks from a few guests, incense being lit at the altar, and even a Chinese funeral band playing. Additionally, there were other instances where guests would pose with the signature Attack on Titan salute in front of Eren’s photo.

Attack on Titan Finally Comes To An End

One of the most eagerly awaited anime releases of the year was Attack on Titan Final Chapters Special 2, which was the series finale. The first segment of the programme, which lasted more than an hour, was released earlier in March 2023. Attack on Titan’s ten-year run came to an end in the second part of the special, which ran 85 minutes, the length of a feature-length movie. But the intense fan excitement for the show’s conclusion also led to some issues when it debuted in the West. Crunchyroll, an anime streaming site, experienced a brief server outage as a result of the surge of eager viewers eager to watch the finale as soon as it was broadcast.

In addition, an online afterparty event featuring the voice actors of various popular characters, MAPPA Studio director Yuichiro Hayashi, and Wit Studio director Tetsuro Araki are slated to commence on the day after the presentation of the finale and last until November 8. The debut of a brand-new voice drama, starring Eren, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, and a number of other beloved characters, will also take place during an afterparty event. Interested parties can watch the catch-up stream on November 9 for a closer look, or they can buy a ticket to the online event through the official Attack on Titan afterparty website.
